In Loving Memory of Jim Dorsey
Jim born in 1939, passed away peacefully on 8/22/26, surrounded by the love of his family. He lived a life defined by strength, dignity, faith, and devotion to those he cherished.
A proud Black man who carried himself with grace and perseverance, Jim worked hard, loved deeply, and led by example. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy was his family. Whether offering wise advice, sharing stories, or simply being present, he made everyone around him feel supported and loved.
Jim called lovingly Jimmy will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, steady guidance, and unwavering commitment to his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, compassion, and family unity that will continue through generations.
He is survived by his wife Doris , his Daughters April and Joy , his sons Cory and Michael and over 25 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his big brother John who died in April early this year
A celebration of his life will be held on a Saturday at 9:30 am at Shaw Davis funeral home Though he will be deeply missed, his love, lessons, and memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
