It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Jesse Alvarado, who left us on June 12, 2025, at the age of 63 in Houston, Texas.
Born on October 29, 1961, Jesse lived a life full of passion, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. For 19 years, he proudly served as a security guard for the Houston Independent School District, where he kept students and staff safe with a strong sense of responsibility and care.
Outside of work, Jesse was a man of many passions. He was a beloved baseball coach who mentored young athletes with heart and discipline. He also had a deep love for football, enjoyed cooking up great meals on the BBQ, and could often be found sitting outside listening to music — a setting where he felt most at peace.
Jesse was known for his quick wit, mischievous humor, and infectious laughter. He never missed a chance to make someone smile and was the kind of man who always stood up for himself and those he loved. Protective, confident, and outspoken, Jesse was the kind of person who showed up early, worked hard, and didn’t believe in wasting time — or in being late. He took pride in everything he did, whether it was coaching, cooking, or simply being there for the people who needed him.
He is survived by his loving partner Patricia Cantu; his children Sabrina Alvarado and Jonathan Alvarado; and his sisters Monica Mirelez and Veronica Rosales. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched. Jesse is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Martha Alvarado.
Jesse’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he impacted through his kindness, strength, and spirited presence. A memorial service will be announced soon to celebrate and honor his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to local youth baseball programs in Jesse’s memory — keeping his love for the game alive for future generations.
We'll plant real trees for you in Jesse's memory and display your contribution forever.
