Obituary

Jerry Alan Howard Jr. unexpectedly passed away on July 28th, 2024 in Houston Texas.

Alan was an outgoing guy loved by many. Jerry Alan Howard Jr. was Born and raised in Canton, Ohio. His laugh was contagious and his presence would light up any room he walked into. He was an excellent Painter and loved what he did. He was a Husband, Son, Brother, Father, Uncle and Grandfather who loved his family unconditionally. He loved his 3 dogs. He was the type of man who would help anyone out in anyway he could. He was a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was full of life, faith, and love.

Alan was a superb athlete who enjoyed wrestling, baseball and weight lifting. His hobbies included speed skating and riding motorcycles. He was a 9 year member of AA. He grew up attending Church at Bethany United Methodist Church. Alan will be remembered for his laugh, smile and generosity. With his indomitable positive attitude, sheer muck power, and unwavering patience, he handled the hard stuff well. You wanted him on your team - and there are many teams out there who will feel his absence.

He was  preceded  in death by Jerry Howard(Father),Joe Niner (Stepfather) and  Katherine Waers (Grandmother).

He is survived by his wife Deanna Howard, her mother Gloria (Van). His mother Barbara Niner, Bob(friend), Siblings, Todd Howard (Faye), Andrea Jacobsen (Chris),Brian Howard,Mike Howard, Robyn Russell (Jim). Shari Rodgers( John), Joe Niner( Michelle), Sandy Sansone (Aunt). Children, Krystal Reilly, Megan Luster (Tryston) and Kristian Brown.  Grandchildren Parker Reilly, Carter Reilly, Aiden Luster. Nieces Jessica Howard, Tessa Howard, Nephews Sade Howard, Chris Wade, close cousin Karen Howard-Gross (Gary),great-nephews, great-nieces, many cousins, friends and aquentences  and his childhood friend Mel.

His favorite verse was Psalm 40 verse 1-3

“I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord."

Memorial services will be held at Easton Chapel Global Methodist Church on August 31st from 1pm-3pm by Dr. Steven J Nelson.

Donations or flowers can be made at the Church. 3906 Easton Street NE. Canton, OH, 44721.

Flowers need to be donated between 9am-12 noon. The day before or day of!
