Jeremy Vega, born on September 26, 1981, in San Jose, California, passed away on September 5, 2024. He was a cherished resident of Elk Grove, California, where he spent his days surrounded by the love of his family.
Jeremy, affectionately known as "Droopy," had an unwavering passion for life and a heart full of love for his family. He was a dedicated husband to his childhood sweetheart, Naomi, and a devoted father to his nine children: Christopher, Cassandra, Jacob, Aaliyah, Kaylina, Isaiah, Mario, and Ezekiel and Jeilah. Jeremy also took great joy in being a grandfather to Ariella, Cruzito, and Athena.
As a father, Jeremy was deeply commited to his children, seizing every opportunity to teach them about the world. He instilled in them the values of curiosity, love, honesty and kindness, ensuring that a piece of his heart would forever remain in theirs. Family was paramount to him and he made it a priority to be present for every significant moment in the lives of his loved ones.
He believed that "thin ain't in" and lived by the motto, "Live your life to the fullest because tomorrow is not promised." Jeremy's infectious laughter, couragous spirit and vibrant personality left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Known for his firm yet caring demeanor, he often took the opportunity to share knowledge and wisdom with those around him.
A lover of music, Jeremy enjoyed a wide range of artists, from Mozzy and Nipsey Hussle to E-40 and Too Short. He had a fondness for food, relishing creamy chicken pasta and carnitas tacos, and was often found snacking on Hunny Bunz and cookies.
In addition to his love for family, Jeremy was deeply involved in his community. He played an active role in his children's football and cheer organization, the Gridiron Bulldogs, and generously assisted the homeless whenever he could. He was a spiritual man, holding a strong Christian faith and accepting the Lord as his personal savior.
Jeremy is survived by his loving parents, Steven Sr. and Christina, his siblings Steven Jr., Robert, and Jeanine, as well as his mother-in-law Anita. He leaves behind brother-in-laws Gabriel, Julian and Johnny, sister-in-laws Becky, Ana, Esther and Erika. And many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
