Jeremy James Thompson, age 52, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on March 19, 2026. Jeremy was a man with a big heart, a quick wit, and a love for Alabama football that never faded. His sense of humor could light up a room, and his family meant everything to him, even as he faced the difficult battles that came with addiction.
Jeremy is survived by his children: Jeremy Shane Thompson, Kayla Smith, Kaitlin Hatchett, and Chrissy Cobb; and by his beloved grandchildren: Brooklynn Thompson, Adalee Smith, Kaiden Hatchett,Owen Rice, and Kasyn Cobb. He is also survived by his brother.
A celebration of Jeremy’s life will be held at Jackson County Park, where family and friends will gather to remember the man they loved—one who was imperfect, funny, loyal, and deeply cherished.
Jeremy’s laughter, his stories, and his love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
