Jennifer Lynn Morgan, lovingly known to many as “Jenni, Granny Jenn, Bonzoix, BonzoixofMN, & HEY you!,” will be remembered for her creativity, kindness, resilience, and the deep sense of community she fostered throughout her life. She passed away surrounded by the love and memories of the many people whose lives she touched.
Jenni lived a life rich with passion and individuality. A lifelong photographer, she especially loved older forms of film photography and found beauty in capturing quiet, meaningful moments. She also worked behind the camera during principal photography on independent films, contributing her talents to productions with studios such as Dirty Job Films.
Her professional life reflected both her creativity and determination. Jenni worked as a social worker, blogger, mechanic, and photographer. As a small business owner, she operated her own mechanic shop specializing in BMWs, earning respect for her skill, dedication, and sharp mechanical mind.
Jenni was known for her bright coloured clothing, distinctive hats, and warm personality. Whether livestreaming from the comfort of her bed or sharing peaceful moments at the riverfront, she created spaces where people felt welcome, understood, and less alone. She had a gift for helping others through difficult times, always offering friendship, encouragement, and compassion to those who needed it most.
Though unmarried and without children, Jenni found family within the trans and atheist communities, where she became a beloved friend, mentor, and advocate. As an older member of the trans community, she felt strongly that younger trans people should know they mattered, and she worked tirelessly to remind others that they were worthy of love, dignity, and belonging. Her activism and care left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Jenni was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Lois. She is survived by her siblings and their families, along with an extended chosen family of friends and community members who loved her deeply.
Jennifer Lynn Morgan’s memory will live on in every act of kindness inspired by her example, every story shared among friends, and every person she helped feel seen and valued. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered always.
