Jennifer had an amazing zest for life and loved to travel to see the world. At any given day of the year, she was often on an adventure away from home. She had seen most states of the U.S. and many islands and territories. In 2007, Jennifer garnered her license as a travel agent. She would also enjoy travel outside the country and take many others along for the ride. She was known as the life of the party and could take you anywhere and show things from other cultures wherever she went.
Jennifer Lee Cole was born on May 15, 1964, to her parents Marva K. Cole and Levi Cole. She was the youngest sibling to Kamron Sheldon, Kimberly Cole, and Garland D. Cole. Her mother Marva worked as a phlebotomist with the Oakland care facility and her father owned his own automobile shop on the corner of Mack and Phillip in Detroit, Mi. As a young girl she enjoyed the fruits of her parent’s labor, being the baby of the family. Everyone was to look after Jennifer and make sure she was well taken care of. As a child she was beautiful, witty and always lit up the room. She attended and graduated from Osborn High School with exceptional grades. She had always loved to dress well and look her best. She had also felt accomplished making others look and feel the same. In 1985 she completed cosmetology school and began her career as a hairstylist. By 1986 she met a gentleman by the name of Kerry Wells and by 1987 she gave birth to a son, Kerry Levi Cole. She was a very doting and loving mother, opening up her son to the very best of opportunity that Detroit could offer her son at the time. In 2004, Her son Kerry went on to attend Mumford high school where he was awarded a scholarship to Alabama State University. No mother could be more proud than Jennifer, of her son at the time. During the time she resided on West Detroit, Mi. Later on in early 2005 she welcomed her second son Jarrell smiley to the world. Jarrell was also the apple of his mother’s eye, and so she showered him with the same love and adoration as his brother. In 2008 she had changed careers, knowing that she wanted more free time with family and to be able to travel. She was now a social worker for the state of Michigan, a career she had held until he last days with us. With family and friends she was known for being a big and boisterous energetic person. She had famous parties that we could talk about until the end of time. She enjoyed time with loved ones but was also a staple in our family, being stern, and taking care of the family business.
