Jennifer enjoyed music from her youth, such as The Beatles and other classics. She also enjoyed 80's pop music and gospel.
Jennifer enjoyed watching and learning about birds. She lived through hurricane Hazel when it hit eastern North Carolina in 1954. She grew up picking cotton and left school early to do so.
Making people happy with her cooking. She was always looking for the reaction when she made her family's favorites. She knew everyone's favorite by heart.
Jennifer enjoyed the comfort of her own home, where she often watched shows about animals and the gospel.
Meerkat Manor, The Dean Martin Show, Dog The Bounty Hunter, and anything on Animal Planet.

Jennifer Ann Godwin was born on December 5, 1945, to her mother, Naomi. She had very humble beginnings and was a true southerner. She is survived by her children: Amy Dawn Godwin, Sherry Louise Godwin Long, and William Anthony Godwin. She was preceded in death by her youngest child, Brian Micheal Godwin. On February 3, 2021, she died at peace in the comfort of her Fayetteville home in which she raised her four children. Jennifer loved the Lord and cooking to show her love. She also loved watching shows about animals. She was a sharp dresser and she loved to shop. She worked hard all her life. She was very loved by her children, grandchildren, and siblings. She was a truly caring person. She is dearly missed.
