Jenneth A. Reeves was born on January 30, 1948, the youngest of six children to Johnnie and Iworner Alexander in New Orleans, Louisiana who preceded her in death.
Jenneth graduated from Joseph S. Clark Senior High School in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1966 and she went on to attend Southern University College of Business where she aspired to become a teacher. Her favorite pastime and impeccable talent taught by her mother was sewing and seamstress work, later her other passion became football (New Orleans Saints).
In, 1966 she married her husband Willie J. Reeves Jr. and re-married in 2009. They share four children Tiya M. Reeves- Thomas (Victor -Deceased) of Las Vegas, Nv., Coy D. Reeves (Naoko) of Litchfield, Az., Nicole D. Reeves of New Orleans, La., and Samantha L. Robinson of Las Vegas, Nv.
After moving to Las Vegas in 1977 she began her career as a receptionist at Zion Daycare Center and created many longtime friendships. She went on to work for Nevada Energy and retired after 25 years of service. She enjoyed life and served her church family at Great Commission ID Church where she was a faithful servant and one of the original 9 founding members. She was an usher on the Usher Board and a member of The Daughters of Ruth group where every year she would help organize the church’s Annual White Tea event as well. She was also a member of the Eastern Stars organization.
Also, preceding her death are her sisters Argie Nell Robinson, Wilma Jean-Jacques, and her twin brother Kenneth Alexander, Sr.
Jenneth leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her sister Sandra Taylor (John), brother A.D. Glen Alexander (Brenda-deceased), her loving 12 grand-daughters Rey’ Elle, Breja, and Taelor Thomas; Leona and Joi Reeves; Distine, Donsharey, and De’Ja Hall, and Domonique and Da’Jon Reeves; Da’Kayla Harris; Dream Berry; 2 god-children Rita McCain and Theron Reeves; and one special young man she considered her only grand-son Brandaris L. Thomas. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
On September 10, 2024, the Lord granted Jenneth her heavenly wings. Our hearts belong to her and the almighty above; it is his will.
