Jeffrey Wayne Newman, affectionately known as Jeff, was born on June 5, 1974, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, in his beloved hometown.

Jeff was a passionate cook who found joy in sharing his culinary creations with family and friends. His love for cooking was matched only by his genuine heart of gold, which endeared him to everyone he met. Jeff’s warmth and kindness were evident, and those who knew him understood the depth of his love for his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Cinnamon Holt of Hot Springs, North Carolina, and his sister, Linda K. Manzanarez (Newman) and family of Marshall, North Carolina. He also leaves behind his half-brother, John David Newman Jr., and family in Wilmington, Delaware, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and an aunt in Nashville, Tennessee. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, John David Newman Sr. and Etta Mae Newman (Robinson), and his sister, Angela Christene Hill (Stevens).

In August 2024, Jeff gave his heart to Jesus, a defining moment that strengthened his faith. He attended Plaza Church of the Nazarene in Charlotte, where he found community and solace in his spiritual journey. His love for the Lord was a guiding force in his life.

Jeff's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his compassion and unwavering love. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
