Jeanette Rena Buchanan Aguilera, affectionately known as Nettie, was born on January 29, 1981, in Staunton, Virginia. She passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, in Roanoke Va. while residing in Pocahontas, Virginia. Lotz Funeral of Roanoke is handling the viewing.

Nettie dedicated her life to being a loving housewife and devoted mother, finding her greatest joy in her children. Her proudest accomplishments were her daughters, Coral L Aguilera and Thalia M Aguilera, whom she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Aguilera, who stood by her side through all of life’s moments. Nettie also leaves behind her mother, Audrey Santibanez, and stepfather, Dolores (Lolo), along with her brother, Robert J Buchanan, and sister, Alisa G Mitchell. She held a special place in the hearts of her nephews, Colt and Logan Mitchell, as well as her great nephew, Jace, and great niece, Zoe. Nettie held a special place in her niece heart Nataly. Nettie will be dearly missed by her cousins and extended family.

Nettie was known for her love, laughter, and the joy she shared with those around her. She had a remarkable ability to brighten the lives of others, and her spirit was a bright shining star that burned out too soon. Her legacy of love and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
