Jean Elizabeth Montero, affectionately known as "Texas Jean," was born on June 25, 1945, in Oak Ridge, TN, and passed away on December 5, 2024, in Monterey, CA. A dedicated realtor, Jean made a lasting impact in her professional life, known for her genuine warmth and friendly smile that put everyone at ease.
She shared a special bond with her longtime companion, Tim Poole, and was a loving mother to two daughters, Jane Alcoran and Carie Musick. Jean's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Christopher Reynolds, Chance Breaux, Herbert Volk, Arianne Musick, Jonathan Musick, and Allen Grant, as well as her great-grandchildren, Azalea Breaux, Avianna Breaux, Arabella Breaux, Herbert Breaux V, Athens Musick, Beatrix Musick, and Millie Musick.
Jean is survived by her beloved sisters, Georgia Davis and Maysel Teeter. She was known for her kind and generous spirit, offering unconditional love to everyone around her. Jean was actively involved in her community, with St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital being her favorite charity, reflecting her commitment to helping others.
A celebration of her life will be held on February 8, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church in Salinas, California. Jean's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched with her love and kindness.
