Jayden Richard Mcelwee passed away on February 13, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 28.

Born on July 12, 1996, and raised in South Philadelphia, Jayden graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School. He has taken his academic journey to great heights earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at West Chester University. Jayden poured his energy into what he was passionate about; his career, his family, sports, and his personal development. He was a man of unwavering dedication and a role model for his 3-year-old son, Kayden.

He was the beloved husband of Mariah Mcelwee for 5 years, a loving father to Kayden Mcelwee and he was the beloved son of Elizabeth and Charles Mcelwee, and the devoted brother of Joseph Mcelwee, Jahleel Mcelwee, Emeline Mcelwee, and Jahqeem Mcelwee. He was also a loving uncle to Percy Mcelwee, Leroy James-Mcelwee, and Serena James-Mcelwee.

Jayden had a passion for traveling and embraced new experiences with enthusiasm. He loved long car rides with family and friends. He loved to visit Florida every year with his family. His kindness and warmth touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
