Jayden Keith Gregory, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 21. He was born on April 16, 2003, in Greenwood, SC, and most recently resided in Antreville, SC.
Jayden had a zest for life that was infectious. Despite facing numerous challenges from an early age, including a cardiac arrest at just five weeks old and being diagnosed with Lennox Gaustaut Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy, at the age of nine, Jayden never let his circumstances define him. Doctors initially predicted that he would never walk or communicate, but Jayden proved them wrong with his determination and unwavering spirit.
Music was Jayden's passion, and he enjoyed listening to rap and creating music videos. He also found joy in playing baseball with the Greenwood Miracle League. In his free time, Jayden loved indulging in his favorite foods, including mini muffins, honey buns, and milk.
Jayden will be remembered for his infectious smile, his love for cuddling, and the joy he brought to those around him. His Mama's kisses meant the world to him. He was a true blessing and inspiration to everyone who knew him.
Jayden is survived by his siblings, Anthony Gregory, Jadie and Duncan Griffin, and his special cousin, Hunter Blackmon and Lexi Blackmon. He was predeceased by his brother, Noah Gregory. Jayden's parents are Kimberly Haynie and Brandon Griffin, and he was predeceased by his father, Roger Gregory. His grandparents are Charles "Skip" Haynie (Tina), Debbie Haynie, Lynn Clark, Terry Gregory (Jan), and Kim Griffin.
Jayden's beloved pet, Deuce, brought him comfort and companionship throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, including his extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral expenses are greatly appreciated. Jayden's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to call him friend. Rest in peace, dear Jayden, as you find eternal peace and happiness in the arms of the angels.
