Jay Christian Fonnesbeck, born on June 4, 1984, in Brigham City, Utah, passed away on August 28, 2024. Jay lived in Portage, Utah, with his loving supportive wife Amber. Jay was a beloved father, a dedicated long-haul driver, and a friend to many.
Known for his infectious smile and quick wit, Jay had a unique ability to light up any room he entered. He embraced his life on the road, often referring to himself as a "GOOD OLE BOY." He cherished his time behind the wheel, traveling the country with his two beloved dogs, Maggie and Dixie, who will miss him dearly. Jay was passionate about the outdoors, always in search of his next big trophy buck, but his greatest treasures were his daughters: Lily Helen, Aspen Marie, Paizlee Jai, and Hazlee Sue. He loved spending time with them, quoting their favorite movies and sharing precious moments filled with laughter and joy.
Jay's spirit will be remembered through the heartfelt words he often shared with his girls, such as "No Power Tools Dale," "Ok Miss Lippy," "Giddy Up," "There's No Robbers in our Town," "10-4 Rubber Duck," and "LOVE YA KIDDO."
As a tribute to his journey, Jay's family reflects on "The Trucker's Last Ride," a reminder of the roads he traveled and the love he carried with him. Though he has parked his truck and his engine has stopped, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his wife Amber, his daughters, and his cherished pets, Dixie and Maggie. Jay will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the joy he brought to so many lives.
"TRUCKERS LAST RIDE"
"He traveled the roads
In years gone past
A life he chose and
Hoped it would last.
Driving all night
From state to state
Trying to get home
And arriving so late.
He parked his truck now
His engine has stopped
And those who love him
Their hearts have dropped.
He traveled the country
With a smile of great pride
Now he drives the streets of Heaven
On the trucker’s last ride.
