Jay was a devoted father to his five children: Paige West, Cathy West, Jennifer West, Nikolas Hall, and Devon Hall. He took immense pride in his family, always placing them above all else, a testament to his belief that "family comes first before profession."
A dedicated truck driver, Jay earned his CDL and spent his career navigating the open roads. He was known for his remarkable skill behind the wheel and his ability to connect with others in the trucking community. He founded the "Truckers and Treats" organization in Texarkana, which aimed to bring joy to children in need, showcasing his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
Jay had a passion for music, with The Beatles being among his favorite bands. He had a special talent for making Texas brisket, a dish that brought family and friends together at his home, which was his favorite place in the world. An avid football fan, he proudly supported the Oakland Raiders.
