Jason A. Chandler, born on May 8, 1972, in Philadelphia, PA, passed away on January 6, 2025, in his beloved hometown. He is survived by his wife, Maggin A. Chandler, and their children: Jasmine, Jacqueline, Jason, and stepchildren Alexander and Shynique. He was also a proud grandfather to Patricia and Claire.
Jason, affectionately known as Jay, was a devoted family man who cherished life to the fullest. He was the first of two children born to his mother, Irene, and the fourth to his father, Rudy Perry. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve in the early 90s, receiving an Honorable Discharge.
An avid lover of the arts, Jason found joy in writing poetry and stories. He had a deep appreciation for music, particularly anything from the 80s and 90s, and his favorite pastimes included indulging in King pizza and watching his favorite movies, including Star Trek, Star Wars, and anything Marvel or DC. He was also a passionate football fan and found happiness in visiting Dallas Stadium in Texas.
Jason's proudest accomplishment was obtaining his Commercial Driver's License (CDL), a testament to his determination and work ethic. His vibrant personality was often showcased through his love for pasta dishes, and he will be remembered for his infectious spirit and love for life and family. Jason will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
