Janice Diane Kent, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 42. She was born on August 30, 1981, in Brunswick, Georgia, and most recently resided in Signal Mountain, Tennessee.

Janice had a zest for life and found joy in the simplest of things. She had a passion for cooking and could often be found experimenting with new recipes in her kitchen. Reading was another one of her favorite pastimes, as she loved to immerse herself in the world of literature. Janice also had a talent for making fudge and took great pleasure in sharing her delicious creations with others.

Above all, Janice's heart belonged to helping people and spending quality time with her family. She had a selfless spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Janice's love and compassion touched the lives of many.

Janice is survived by her son James Stratford, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. She is also survived by her mother, Sallie Scott, her sister Lucretia D Rightenour, and several nieces and nephews. Janice's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Janice's memory. A private memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Janice Diane Kent. May she rest in eternal peace.
