Janet Marie Burton, born on January 27, 1957, in Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Janet was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Joey Almendarez, and his wife, Channon, as well as her daughter, Jackie Almendarez. Janet's legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Noah, Daniel, and Elena Almendarez.

The daughter of Theodore and Ruth Canterbery, Janet grew up surrounded by love and support. She shared her life with her siblings, George, Pat, Terry, Debbie, Brenda, Sandra, and Nancy, who held a special place in her heart.

Janet found joy in simple pleasures, especially indulging in her favorite Mexican food, spending peaceful days fishing, and enjoying the laughter brought by her favorite TV show, "The Golden Girls."
