When the children were young and Peter was working outside broadcasts, she would pack up the car, 4 children tent and all and would drive to meet him so the family could be together. One time, the two younger children fell out the back of the morris minor on leaving the house, mum carried on up the road with Steph and Jem sitting on the floor with a travel rug on them. A neighbour beeping his horn to alert mum.
