James Loved playing cards, croquet, badminton, and ping pong with all the grandchildren. One of their favorite memories together was playing hide-n-seek out on his farm.
He was a Vietnam Veteran.

James Whitfield Sanders, a beloved father, grandfather, and Vietnam Veteran, passed away on May 1, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born on October 31, 1948, in Henderson County, Texas, and most recently resided in Ennis, Texas.
James had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved engaging in various activities with them, including playing cards, croquet, badminton, and ping pong. One of their cherished memories was playing hide-n-seek on his farm.
James proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran. His bravery and dedication will always be remembered.
He was the son of Adell Loftin and Whitfield Sanders and had two brothers, Emmit Sanders and Robert Sanders, as well as a sister, Margie Roffee. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jaye Lynn.
James is survived by his children, son Travis Sanders and his wife Sara, and daughter Rebecca (Sanders) Phillips and her husband Ronald. He was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Kaitlin, Kelsey, Kloe, Mason and his wife Ashlynn, and their two children Adelyn and Mason Jr., as well as granddaughters Megan and Madison.
James Whitfield Sanders will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His loving nature, playful spirit, and commitment to family will be remembered and cherished forever.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate his life.
