James Wesley “Jim” Kozinski, was born on October 2, 1938, in Chicago, IL. He passed away on August 28, 2024, in Aitkin, MN, where he had recently made his home.
With a mind for numbers, he was an accomplished commodities broker at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and a keen player of games of chance. Jim was a tough former Marine with a heart as soft as his Irish spirit. He loved fishing and walks with his loyal dog, Pebbles, who brought him immense joy.
He was especially proud of his four granddaughters, and spent hours tracking and cheering on their accomplishments. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, and nephew, he is survived by his children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Jim lived by the motto, "Don’t sweat the small stuff… and it’s all small stuff," a testament to his nomadic nature. His favorite place in the world was beside a serene lake, where he found peace and contentment.
We'll plant real trees for you in James's memory and display your contribution forever.
