James Wayne Parker, known affectionately as Jim, passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born on October 11, 1946, in Birmingham, Alabama, and most recently resided in Skowhegan, Maine.

Jim had a distinguished career in nursing, beginning as a floor nurse before rising to the position of assistant director of nursing. His dedication to caring for others was evident in both his professional and personal life. A devout Seventh Day Adventist, he lived by the principles of faith and family, values that he cherished deeply.

Jim found joy in model trains, the intricate layouts and precise attention to detail. He was also an enthusiastic fan of the Denver Broncos, and John Wayne western films, often sharing his enthusiasm with family and friends.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Ramona Faith Dinesen Parker. Together, they raised three children: Tiffany Reiss, CJ Parker, and Jeff Parker, each of whom carried forward his legacy of love and care. He was also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Cory Reiss, Lucas Reiss, Kyleigh Parker, Aubreigh Parker, and Aria Parker. He is further survived by his daughters-in-law, Leigh-Ann Parker and Elizabeth Parker, and his son-in-law, Dave Reiss.

Jim Parker will be remembered for his unwavering love for family and friends, as well as his commitment to his profession and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
