James was a hardworking and dedicated man. After high school, he began his career as a supervisor at Well-Made, where he developed a strong work ethic and leadership skills. Later, he transitioned to the hospitality industry, working for the Marriott Hotel, where he made countless friends and lasting memories before retiring.

He also had a passion for fitness and could often be found lifting weights, staying active, and inspiring others to do the same.
James’s life was enriched by his loving marriage to Natalie Brown, a union that brought him great joy. From this marriage, James welcomed his first biological son, James Johnson Jr., and later adopted his beloved daughter, Tinisha Brown.
