He loved being a veteran and his service to his country. He also loved his service to God the Father.
After serving in the military for 23 years he used his knowledge to work as a mechanic in many capacities.
Making everyone in the room feel as though they are the most important person. When you are feeling down he had a way of lifting you up and you knew everything was going to be ok.

James Perry Kennedy, lovingly known as Big Jim and Papa, passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 64. He was born on October 11, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, and most recently resided in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
James had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies including fishing, cooking, watching live sporting events, and helping out at church. He cherished quality time spent with his wife Tammy and loved ones. James had a particular fondness for orange Fanta soda and a well-cooked brisket. He had a great appreciation for classic bands and musical artists and enjoyed watching action-packed TV shows.
A Desert Storm Veteran, James proudly served in the U.S. Army for 23 years. His dedication to his country was one of his proudest accomplishments. Additionally, he found fulfillment in his faith and service to God the Father.
James used his extensive military knowledge to work as a mechanic in various capacities. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone in the room feel important and was known for his uplifting spirit. His infectious boisterous laugh could brighten anyone's day.
Survived by his soulmate and love of his life, Tammy Kennedy, James leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is also survived by his parents, Joyce and Gary Moore, and Pam and Greg Mitchell, as well as numerous other family members.
James was a lovable, kind, and hardworking individual who impacted the lives of those around him. Through his involvement in church and acts of kindness, he made a difference in his community. His unwavering faith as an Independent Baptist sustained him throughout his life.
James Perry Kennedy will be dearly missed but always remembered for his warm personality and his ability to make others feel loved and valued. As he would always say, "Hey Kid, it's all going to be ok, don't worry about it." May he rest in eternal peace.
