James Michael Shannon, 77, of Big Sandy was born on July 21, 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas, to the late James and Evelyn Henderson Shannon and passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his home in Big Sandy. Mr. Shannon proudly served our country as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was also the Executive Regional Service Manager for Chevrolet for over 30 years. James is survived by two sons, one brother, one sister, and six grandchildren.
Graveside service for Mr. Shannon will be held at Hoover Cemetery on , April 25 , 2024 at 2:00 PM under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
