James "Jimmy" Travis Harville, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born on October 14, 1946, in Glen, MS, and most recently resided in Farwell, MI.

Jimmy had a deep love for his family and cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He would sit at the dinner table, listening to them talk about their day, and their not so innocent humor would bring endless laughter to his heart. He was known by many names, including Jimmy, Jim, and Pop Pop.

In his free time, Jimmy enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions. He was an avid fan of wrestling and old western TV shows like Gun Smoke. He also found joy in solving crossword puzzles, coloring pages, and playing video games, particularly Zelda and Super Mario And last but not least playing his favorite game Bingo.

Throughout his career, Jimmy worked for General Motors for 33.4 years before retiring. In his retirement, he found fulfillment and community by calling Bingo at various halls. He was also a previous proud member of the Lions Club.

Jimmy's defining personality traits included his sense of humor, silliness, and strong will. He was known for his kindness, respectfulness, and caring nature, always putting others first. He was a young-spirited individual who approached life with a positive and resilient attitude.

He is survived by his daughter Lora Harville and stepchildren Margaret Boxx, Charlotte Boxx (AJ Kawalec), Kenneth (Stephanie) Boxx, Richard Bennett(Betty Jean)Bennett, and Jeremey Bennett. Jimmy also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren: Carter, Jackson, Kennedy, Hayes ("his little buddy"), Bennett, Dawson, Emersyn, Chelsea, Hunter, Dakota, and Colton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronnie and Jo Harville, his brother Thomas Berry Harville, and his dear sweetheart Elisabeth.

Jimmy's impact on the lives of others was immeasurable. He taught us that strength comes from within, regardless of one's size, and to never stop fighting for what matters most. He touched the hearts of those who knew him with his selflessness and unwavering care for others.

A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held to honor his memory at the Clare county senior community center of Farwell on July 17th 2024 at 2:00 p.m.His spirit will live on in the memories and stories shared by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
