Thomaston, GA on July, 2, 1988. He departed this life on Thursday, February 8, 2024 in Birmingham, AL.

Jamal graduated from Upson-Lee High School in 200% Jamal had a love for sports and participated in recreational sports as a child. During high school, Jamal played basketball and football. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychobiology with a Minor in Elementary Education from Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL in 2014.

As a child, Jamal attended his family's church, Macedonia Baptist Church in Thomaston, GA, but became a faithful member of New Life Church when he was in elementary school. Jamal had many church families, and while living in Montgomery, AL he became a member of New Walk of Life Church. Jamal had a strong Christian faith and was a member of the youth ministry at New Walk of Life Church.

Jamal was an educator whose impact reverberated far beyond the classroom. With unwavering dedication, he inspired countless students to reach their full potential, instilling in them a passion for learning and a commitment to excellence. He was employed at River Region Academy in Montgomery, AL as a sixth grade teacher at the time of his passing. Jamal was also a former employee of the Montgomery County Public School System where he taught as well. His legacy as a mentor, leader, and advocate for educational equity will continue to inspire us all and his profound influence will be missed.

Jamal was deeply-family oriented, finding joy and fulfillment in the love and laughter shared among his loved ones. He was a devoted son, brother, nephew, uncle and absolute favorite among many in his family. His unconditional love and dedication to his family was evident in every aspect of his life, as he prioritized their happiness and well-being above all. His warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Jamal was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Mr. William Alfred Porter, I; maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Alva Edmondson Matthews; paternal grandparents, Mr. Jack C. & Mrs. Nettie Ruth Andrews; and paternal uncle, Mr. Jack Andrews, Jr.

Jamal is survived by his mother, Ms. Toni Porter Doaty of Thomaston, GA; father, Mr. Jimmy (Brenda) Andrews of Riverdale, GA; grandparents, Mrs. Clementine (Lucious) Brown of

esha Caldwell and Ms. Tanesha Doaty Of Thomaston, GA; brother, Mr. Asrenez Andrews of MS.

Newnan, GA; step-sister Mrs. Sheneka (Dadren) Searcy of Seattle, WA; first cousins that were like his sisters, Ms. Natassja Acey and Mrs. Ashanti (Jumaane) Brawner both of Thomaston, GA and Ms. Makeda Porter of Saint Marys, GA; first cousins that were like his brothers, Mr. William A.
