Jalen Tyrese Daniel was born January 24, 2002

in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was the child of LaTonya L. Kelly and Furnell D. Daniel, Sr.

Jalen accepted Christ in 2009 and was baptized by Pastor Woodrow Hayden at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Westwego, LA where he remained a faithful member until the Lord said "Servant Well Done." Jalen was an active member of the Children & Youth Ministries, Bible Study and Sunday School.

Jalen leaves to cherish his memories, Mother LaTonya L. Kelly (Jeffrey Dorsey), two sisters Savaria M. Kelly and Juresia N. Daniel; two nieces Danae D. Kelly and Mila R. Kelly; one brother Furnell D. Daniel, Jr. all of Baton Rouge, LA. One half sister and brother Gabriella and Elijah Daniel and a step-brother Jasiah Simmons of Flint, MI; Grandmother Deborah Kelly-Robinson (Huey) of Baton Rouge, LA; Great-grandmother Rosia Mae Davis of Baker, LA and Grandfather Oliver Wilson of New Orleans, LA. Four aunts Theresa Kelly-Brown of Zachary, LA;

LaShaundra Kelly of Baton Rouge, LA; Katrina Daniel of Harvey, LA and Tiffany Daniel of New Orleans, LA. Special aunt and uncles Thea and Arthur Green of Harvey, LA; two uncles Damion and Chaunard Daniel of New Orleans. He is also survived by a host of great aunts and uncles, great-great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Loretta Wilson; grandfather Freddie J. Kelly; great-grandfather Walter Davis; great-grandmother Martha Carroll and great-grandfather James C. Thompson; and great-great grandparents Gistand and Alma Minor.
