Jake had been telling her about his feelings of love, demonstrating his ever-present compassion and warmth towards children. It is heartbreaking that such a gentle soul faced violence simply for being himself and sharing kindness with others.

In the wake of this tragedy, Jake’s mother has taken it upon herself to manage and communicate through all of his social media accounts. She has vowed to keep his spirit alive online, ensuring that all his friends can still feel connected to him. Jake’s mom will be the sole person texting on his Snapchat, sharing memories and moments that encapsulate his joyful essence. Jake also enjoyed engaging with kids on Roblox, where he would inspire creativity and laughter, and his mother intends to carry on that tradition, fostering a safe and loving space for young gamers. Although he may be gone, Jake Roussel’s light will continue to shine through the love and joy he spread during his time here.
