Jacqueline Gorham, lovingly known as Jackie Murray and Aunt Jack, passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 79. She was born on February 6, 1945, in Washington, D.C., and most recently lived in Gaithersburg, MD.

Jacqueline was a compassionate individual who dedicated her life to nursing and caregiving. She was a mentor to many and had an infectious personality that impacted the lives of all who knew her. Her defining traits included strength, independence, intelligence, and dedication.

In her free time, Jacqueline loved to crochet and cook. She had a wild imagination and a highly creative spirit. Her favorite foods were seafood, and she enjoyed listening to the Isley Brothers Band. Jacqueline was also an avid reader and cherished a good book. She loved going on family outings, shopping, and indulging in good food.

Florida held a special place in Jacqueline's heart, and she also enjoyed watching TV shows such as "Living Single," "Martin," and "Golden Girls." Football was her favorite sport, and she had a fondness for movies.

Jacqueline is survived by her loving husband, Lester Gorham, and her children, Michelle, Sean Damascus, and Vijaya. She was deeply proud of her marriage and children. Although she did not have any surviving close family members, Jacqueline leaves behind a legacy of being a strong, kind, and loving individual.

Jacqueline's life motto was, "It's a telephone, not a television." She believed in the power of communication and making meaningful connections.

A Catholic, Jacqueline did not have any specific requests for the obituary content. She did not have any involvement in community organizations, charities, or social causes, nor did she hold any leadership roles in the community.

We remember Jacqueline Gorham for her nurturing spirit, her dedication to her profession, and her love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
