Jacob Thomas Slusser, known affectionately as Jake, passed away in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 15, 2024, at the age of 30 in a tragic motorcycle accident. Born on March 14, 1994, in Puyallup, WA, Jake was a beloved boyfriend, father, son, brother, and friend. Most recently residing in Kansas City, MO, he dedicated his life to his family, his work, and his passions.
Jake was an entrepreneur and business owner, having made a name for himself as a skilled concrete finisher and mechanic. His love for cars, motorcycles, boats, and anything with a motor reflected his adventurous spirit and ingenuity. A hard worker who could fix almost anything, he took immense pride in his work and his ability to make others happy. No matter the situation he loved to crack jokes and make others laugh. Witty and clever as he was, there was no problem to big, he always had a solution.
He is survived by his loving fiance, Hannah Reever, and their daughter Kaylani Kay Slusser and his son Grayson Eli Mora (Slusser). Jake is also mourned by his mother, Carrie Talkington, who raised him and his sister, Haley Slusser, as a single parent. He was the greatest uncle you could ask for to his cherished nieces, Aryanah, Izabelah, Delilah, and Paisley. He also helped raise his little brother by choice, Hunter Rosenberger. His family was his world.
Known for his loyalty and dedication, Jake was the backbone of his family. He possessed a strong and outgoing personality, and while he could be quiet at times, he was never afraid to speak his mind on matters that mattered to him. He was a man of his word, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer support when loved ones were in need. Jake's presence brought joy and laughter to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His departure from this life was sudden and unexpected.
He loved to go fast, all the time. No slowing down, He lived life to the fullest extent in all aspects. One thing he always said was:
"If I die on my motorcycle, at least I'll die happy."
He graduated from the streets, to riding his motorcyle in the sky. Fly High, Until we meet again.
