Jack spent 20 years in the Army and during that time has 9 tours in Thailand. He taught himself the Thai language so well that he became a high level linguist. He loved the Army but loved his boys, James and David, more and so took a hardship retirement to raise them after his wife, their mother, left them. He moved from Michigan to Arkansas to help care for his ailing mother. He eventually went to work for Casino Aztar where he worked for 20 years, first as a dealer and then as a floor supervisor. Jack played keyboard/piano/organ and was magic to watch. He never learned to read music and so had HUNDREDS of songs stored in his head. He often went to nursing homes to play for the residents. He met his 4th wife, Forrest, online in 2003 and they were married in 2004. He joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 2006 and he and Forrest were sealed for time and all eternity on November 1, 2010. Jack was preceded in death by his mother, a brother born before him, his sister, his son (David) and his father.
