In Loving Memory of Israel Torres
December 25, 2003 – May 4, 2025
Israel Torres, 21, of Cumby Tx, was called home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2025. Born on Christmas Day, Israel lived a life that reflected the joy, light, and love of Christ. From a young age, it was clear that God had placed a special calling on his life.
A proud graduate of CHS and later PJC, Israel earned his HVAC certification and was pursuing further education in accounting. At the same time, he was deeply committed to his spiritual growth, studying at his church’s Bible institute—a reflection of his devotion to knowing and serving God more deeply.
Israel had a gift for making others feel at home. His radiant charisma and genuine kindness filled every room he entered. He had a way of turning strangers into friends and hard moments into ones filled with laughter. His sense of humor was one of his many gifts— Whether with a joke, a funny voice, or a playful tease, Israel knew how to make people laugh, often when they needed it most.
His love for technology led him to explore the world of computers, where he enjoyed upgrading, repairing, and sharing his knowledge with anyone who needed it. Yet his greatest joy was found in worship. Whether singing or playing the piano at church, Israel’s heart was always tuned to heaven. Music was his way of ministering, and he gave it freely to God and to those around him.
Israel faced cancer with the same spirit he brought to everything—full of grace, determination, and hope. He fought with incredible strength, never letting the illness define him or dim his joy. Even on the hardest days, his smile remained, his laughter still echoed, and his faith never wavered. He stayed positive until the very end, lifting up others even as he walked through his own valley.
His life was a melody of love for Jesus, and now he sings with the angels.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
He is deeply loved, deeply missed, and will never be forgotten.
We'll plant real trees for you in Israel's memory and display your contribution forever.
