Isaiah McClellon Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully departed this life on October 27, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan. Born March 15, 1943, Isaiah was raised in Detroit, where he built a legacy grounded in faith, family, and hard work.
From a young age, Isaiah carried a strong work ethic and a deep sense of responsibility. He spent many years working with his hands and using his skills to support his family and community. He was known for his generosity, kind spirit, and the ability to make anyone around him laugh — often using his quick wit and humor to brighten the day of those he loved.
Isaiah had a deep faith and an unshakable trust in God, which guided him through every chapter of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports, and telling stories about “the good old days.” His love for Detroit and the people in it was unmatched.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children — Isaiah McClellon Jr., Antoine McClellon, Michelle McClellon, Renee McClellon, and Patrice McClellon; his sister Gloria McClellon; and a host of grandchildren — including DeAndre McClellon, LaZell McClellon, Isaiah III, Destiny, Elijah, Mariah, Kaden, and little Harmony — who all loved their “Papa Zay.”
Also cherishing his memory are a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who became like family. Isaiah’s warmth and laughter touched the hearts of everyone who crossed his path.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, who welcomed him home with open arms.
Funeral Service: Saturday, November 1, 2025

Isaiah will be remembered for his strength, faith, and the love he shared with all who knew him. Though he is gone from our sight, his spirit lives on through the laughter, love, and memories he left behind.
