Obituario

In loving memory of Inocencio Quinones, born on February 21, 1960, in Washington D.C., to the late Inocencio Quinones and Delories Miles. Inocencio, affectionately known as “Nacho,” “Mr. Q,” and “Ino” by his beloved family and friends, entered the arms of Jesus on February 18, 2024, in Chesapeake, Virginia.

As a young child, Inocencio felt the call of Christ on his life. His spiritual journey began as he watched the Altar boys in their service to God, sparking a deep love for St. Luke Catholic Church. He sought to become an Altar Boy himself, marking the beginning of his unwavering dedication to Christ and the church community.

After graduating, Inocencio enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served his country with honor. Although miles may have separated him from St. Luke, his heart always remained connected to the church. Upon returning to the D.C. area, he immersed himself in the church's activities, becoming a cherished member of the St. Luke choir, participating in theatrical performances, and serving on various committees.

Inocencio's charm and eloquence led him to a successful career in sales, where he excelled with his “Gift of Gab.” One of his proudest achievements was bringing solar energy to St. Luke through solar panels, a project he dedicated himself to wholeheartedly, ensuring the church received the best possible product and service.

Beyond his professional success, Inocencio was a man of many talents. He dabbled in modeling and showcased his vocal prowess in various R&B and Gospel groups, leaving a lasting impact wherever he went.

Inocencio is preceded in death by Deborah Armstrong and Valencia Berry but is survived by his cherished children, Marquise Quinones, Christian Quinones, Inocencio T. Quinones, and Nicholas Quinones. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A private funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate the life of Inocencio Quinones. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and memories he created during his time on earth.
