Ignacio Quemma, known lovingly as Mr. Q or Joe, passed away on May 3, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born on February 27, 1947, in Calexico, CA, grew up and resided in Watsonville, Ca, and most recently resided in Humble, TX. Ignacio was a Navy Vietnam Veteran, a source of great pride for him.
Ignacio had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. His favorite pastimes included fishing, cooking, gardening, and spoiling his grand daughters. He had a passion for grilling and relished in preparing delicious meals, especially filipino food, and was known for his delicious chicken teriyaki BBQ. Ignacio's taste in music leaned towards Motown and oldies but goodies. He found joy in watching zombie and war movies on TV.
Ignacio's family was everything to him. He adored his wife of 49 years, Isabel, and cherished their three daughters, Angelina, Michelle, and Lisa. His five granddaughters, Isabel, Chloe, Julissa, Audree, and Valentina, brought immense happiness to his life. Ignacio was known for spreading love and when someone would say, "I love you!" he would say "I love me too!" He had. Great sense of humor.
A die-hard San Francisco 49er fan, Ignacio was passionate about football. He was also deeply connected to his hometown, Watsonville, CA, considering it his favorite place in the world.
Ignacio Quemma will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. He strived to create the loving family he never had and surpassed his own expectations. He was the rock of the family and a hero to his daughters.
Ignacio is survived by his beloved wife, daughters, and granddaughters. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
