Howard Sheldon Brown, affectionately known as Howie, passed away on August 26, 2024, in Sacramento, California, where he was born on March 22, 1953. A dedicated family man and a cherished friend, Howie spent 36 years at the Department of Motor Vehicles before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.
Howie found joy in embracing life and loved nothing more than spending quality time with his close friends and loved ones. He had a passion for exploring new restaurants, delighting in the finer things in life, and savoring great food. A music enthusiast, he had a special fondness for jazz, often filling his home with the soothing sounds of his favorite artists.
An avid sports fan, Howie enjoyed all sports, but his true pride and joy came from the love he shared with his wife, which he considered his greatest accomplishment. His home was his sanctuary, a place where he felt happiest, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends.
Howie was known for his positive outlook on life, often quoting, “It’s all good in America,” a reflection of his optimistic spirit. His kindness and generosity will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
