Dad loved working on cars, working the yard or building something.
His first career was the Army. He served 22 years for our country and was very proud to do it. During his military career he was deployed to Vietnam twice. While in the service he also became a mechanic. He loved working on cars. After he retired in 1979 from the Army he opened Bradham Auto Sales and later he changed the name to Quality Auto Sales. He also opened Allpro Exhaust on Reilly Road where he and his son Tim worked together and on weekends his daughter Donna. But his true passion was the car lot business so he went back to that. He was probably one of the last good car salesman out there that still took care of his customers who became his friends. During all his business’ after retirement mom was working by his side.
Spending time with his true love Sue even if it was just relaxing on the porch. They were best friends forever and always.
There was no one favorite place except home. When they could they traveled. They loved each others company no matter where they were.
Was his family.
Herbert Lee Bradham, known affectionately as Herb, was born on May 1, 1935, and passed away on November 10, 2024, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He dedicated 22 years of his life to serving his country in the Army, including two deployments to Vietnam, a service of which he was immensely proud. After retiring in 1979, Herbert pursued his passion for cars by opening Bradham Auto Sales, later known as Quality Auto Sales, and eventually opening All Pro Exhaust, where he worked alongside his son Tim and daughter Donna during weekends.
Herb was not only a skilled mechanic but also a beloved figure in the car sales business, known for treating his customers like friends. His dedication to his work was matched only by his love for his family. He cherished the time spent with his true love, Sue, who passed away in September 2022, leaving a profound impact on his heart. Together, they created a warm and loving home, where they enjoyed each other's company and made lasting memories.
Herbert is survived by his children: Herbie, Donna, Terry, Tommy, and Tim, along with ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. His proudest accomplishment was his family, and he often spoke of them with great affection. Herbert enjoyed working in his yard, building things, and, of course, working on cars. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and friends, as well as his love for life and the simple pleasures it brought.
We'll plant real trees for you in Herbert's memory and display your contribution forever.
