Hensley Dacosta Lucas (Roy) was born January 17, 1947 in Sunbury Tenantry St. Philip, Barbados. He departed his life on January 28, 2025 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. He was the first born of Lloyd (deceased) and Evelyn Puckerin. He was a beloved husband, father, sibling, and friend. He was a faithful member of Greater Grace Ministries where he served as a deacon.

He dedicated his life to driving trucks for over 30 years. He enjoyed cooking and caring for his chickens. Most importantly, he took pride in caring for his family.

Hensley is survived by his wife Debbie Lucas, children Ormand Jones (Laurain), Althea Jones, Avril Jones, Hensley Jones all from Barbados, Joy Lucas Perkins (Garrett), Crystal Lucas of Damascus, Ga, Braizee Rogers of Blakely, Ga, and Felipe Morales of Colquit, Ga. He is survived by 4 siblings all of Barbados. He held a special place in his heart for his grandson Garrett Lucas (Squirt). He also cherished his 7 other grandchildren. He leaves behind a host of family and friends. As we say goodbye to Hensley Lucas (Roy), we remember a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. His legacy will continue to inspire and uplift us, reminding us of the importance of family and friends. Rest in peace, "Roy", you will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
