Henry W Thigpen, age 71 passed away on September 5 9:55 PM surrounded by his loving family Henry was born on August 15, 1952 and raised in Casablanca, Morocco Henry was a devoted Father of 3 children. Alex Thigpen , Gabrielle Thigpen , Christopher Thigpen, as well as a songwriter, musician, poet, and singer. He immigrated to the United States at the ripe age of 18 in search of a better life for his pending family Henry lived in Florida ,Texas , California thought his life searching for the perfect home for him and his wife .

while coming from a family background of many musical talents. Throughout his life, Henry shared his voice at family gatherings, "you name it!". Henry had a powerful and unique voice and would sing Jazz songs giving life to everyone he influenced , Henry was a songwriter and poet who wrote many poems such as " Within my window 'children', 'Hopeless enemy and singers quarrel '". In the early 80's Henry won first place with the editor's choice awards for her poems " nights with silence ". In 1990-2002 mom received the highest recognition award from the International Library of Poetry. To this day Henry continued to write songs and poetry and share His voice and talents with His family and many.

Henry is survived by her 3 children Alexander Thigpen , Gabrielle Thigpen , Christopher Thigpen , 11 siblings Ernest, Lenard, Robert, Catherine, Donnie, Joe Lewis, Thomas, twin brothers Tyrone and Jerome, Monica, and James; He was preceded in death by His mom Malinda Mae El Khalmoussy and His fatherErnest Thigpen , brothers Ernest and Leanard Thigpen; Uncle Tomas McGowan.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 9 2023, at 3:30 p.m. . A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:30 until the time of service.
