Helen Rita Schwertner was born on August 8th 1960 to Felix Bernard Schwertner Jr and Eleanora Marcella Lefner Schwertner in Jarrell Tx. She was the 5th of 9 children.
She went to Catholic School for awhile and then to Jarrell school district. Graduated in 1979.
She had her first daughter, Christine Marie Schwertner- Tovar in February 1979.
After school, she worked, while working at Westinghouse, she met Mark Postma, dated, had 2 more daughter's, Chloe Schwertner in October 1987 and Markie Schwertner in December 1994.
Worked at Weed Instrument in Round Rock TX for close to 20 yrs.
She has 12 grandchildren.
She loved her family very much, she came from a very big family with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Many great nieces and nephews.
She loved music and loved to dance. She liked all kinds of music and would dance to anything with who ever would be in her reach.
She was amazing at cooking. The kitchen was her place in the house. She would always make her famous stuffed jalapeno peppers with tuna. She liked to joke and laugh. She read alot, she loved books. Liked to pass on what all she would read. She liked to do crosswords, she use to love plants and gardening. She could make her mom's homemade pickles.
She told me how to make battered foods without the batter falling off the food. It's how I batter now. I learned alot from her. Alot of cooking. She had asked me how I learned to cook, I told her by watching her always cook.
She loved to go on camping trips, we would go camping all the time. We would go to Georgetown and Granger lakes. Even though she didn't know how to swim, she would still be out on the boat. She wouldn't ever get in the water any but she loved being out on the boat.
Then she gets sick one day, goes to the hospital, then goes home to be with her grandson who passed at birth, her parents and other loved ones.
It hurts so very bad that she is gone but some of Helen will live on in her 3 daughters, and her grandchildren.
We'll plant real trees for you in Helen's memory and display your contribution forever.
