Born on October 5, 1949, in Warthen, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Emmett Seales Jr. and Mrs. Clyde Bethea Seales. Helen was preceded in death by her brothers Ronald L. Seales, Joseph G. Seales, Charles Emmett Seales, George Thomas Seales, and Johnny Neal Seales.

Helen spent her final years in Morganfield, Kentucky, where she touched the lives of many. A dedicated professional, she worked at various establishments, including Owensboro Vocational School, Movac Corp, Union County Hospital, Higgins Learning Center, Green River District Health Department, and ultimately retired from the Earle C. Clements Job Corp Center.

Known for her culinary skills and passion for cooking, Helen often delighted family and friends with her delicious meals. She enjoyed sewing, often crafting her own clothes, and was famous for her love of dancing and wearing stylish hats. Music was a significant part of her life, with favorites including Mahalia Jackson, Shirley Caesar, Blues, and Southern Soul. She also cherished watching shows like "Rifleman," "Divorce Court," and "Young & the Restless."

Helen's love extended to her family, including her daughter, Lakeysha Seales, and two adopted daughters, Michelle Wilson and Naeanna Beamus. She is also survived by her only sister, Dianne Seales, four grandchildren, Jakquez Avery, Corithian Seales-Portee, Avantia Seales-Portee, and Zoyya Seales, as well as three great-grandchildren, Kyson Jakuel, Genesis, and Kallum. A humble yet outspoken woman, Helen was highly respected and enjoyed hosting gatherings at her home. She was an active member of the Carrs Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, serving as President of the Usher Board under the leadership of Rev.
