Helen Elizabeth Snyder, affectionately known as Gigi, passed away on September 20, 2024, at the age of 95 in Raleigh, NC. Born on October 16, 1928, in Marion, IN, Helen brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.

She was the beloved wife of Ralph Snyder, who preceded her in death. Helen is survived by her daughter, Becky Claxon, and son-in-law, Dick Claxon, as well as her stepson, John Snyder and her brother, Jim Winters. Her legacy continues through her cherished granddaughters: Heather Collado and her husband Carlos, Jackie Hilston and her partner Rick Fathauer, Kelly Goff and her partner Kevin Simpson, and Dawn Duchesney and her husband Paul. Helen also adored her great-grandchildren, Mateo and Amelia Collado, Tyler and Parker Goff, and Shelby and Tyler Duchesney.

A woman of many talents, Helen found immense joy in baking, gardening, and sewing. She loved nothing more than feeding others, often filling her home with the delightful aromas of her baked goods, ensuring that no one left her house hungry. Her caring nature, strong will, and wonderful sense of humor made her a pillar of strength for her family and friends.

Helen’s stubborn streak and hardworking spirit were matched only by her ability to make those around her laugh, leaving behind countless fond memories and stories that will be cherished forever. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
