Harambe Silverback Gorilla, born on May 27, 1999, in Brownsville, TX, and most recently residing in Cincinnati, OH, passed away on May 28, 2016. Harambe was a beloved gorilla known for his passion for climbing and his love for bananas. He adored playing tag with kids and found great joy in exploring the forest, his favorite place in the world. Harambe had a fondness for watching Natural Geographic TV shows and enjoyed rock climbing as a favorite sport.
Harambe, known by his nickname, was a gorilla of few words but had a motto of never backing down. He took pride in simply being alive and cherished his role as a climber. He leaves behind his pets, dingle and dangle.
Survived by his spouse and children, Harambe touched the lives of many with his gentle and playful nature. His black fur and defining personality traits made him a unique and special presence. Though there are no specific anecdotes or stories to capture his essence, his passing has left many mourning and shedding tears.
