H. Douglas Lee, fondly known as Doug, was born on August 11, 1934, in Toronto, ON, Canada. A beloved figure in his family and community, Doug dedicated his life to both his successful career and his loved ones. He enjoyed a prominent position as an actuary and ultimately became the manager of the Toronto office of Towers Perrin, where his intelligence and professionalism earned him great respect.
Doug was married to Olivia Lee, and together they raised a loving family. He is survived by his four children: Gordon, Stephen, Andrea, and Jennifer, each of whom carries forward his legacy of kindness and dedication. As a grandfather, he took immense joy in the lives of his grandchildren: Jeff, Amanda, Cameron, Connor, Jason, Kayley, Aiden, Gaelyn, Zachary, Alicia, and Travis.
Doug was known for his generosity, quick wit, and profound intelligence, characteristics that endeared him to many. He had a passion for his cottage on Paudash Lake, where countless memories were made with family and friends. Beyond his family life, he contributed to the community through his involvement with organizations such as Moorelands Camp, Yonge Street Mission, and St. John's Church.
Doug Lee’s impact on those around him was immense, particularly as an amazing father, guiding and supporting his children and grandchildren throughout their lives. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
