Obituary

Gregory Nathan Williams, affectionately known as "Big Greg," was born on March 12, 1964, in Washington, D.C., and passed away on October 11, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a devoted father and grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work.

For 23 years, Greg was a licensed carpenter, known for his skillful craftsmanship and keen problem-solving abilities. A critical thinker, he believed that "there isn’t a problem that hard work and thought can’t solve." His passion for building and creating was matched only by his love for his family.

Greg’s eldest daughter, Lillian, was his constant companion, sharing in everything from cooking to watching football and even chess games. His youngest daughter, Pamela, filled their home with joy and laughter, frequently trying to prank him, much to the amusement of the family. He was a loving grandfather to Steven, with whom he shared countless fishing trips and lessons in carpentry, as well as to young Malakai, who inherited his grandfather's sense of humor and love for chess.

Survived by his mother, Linda, and his siblings—sisters Denise, Patrice, and Banetta, along with brothers Travis and Brandon—Greg left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His warm light drew people to him, and he had a natural ability to lift others up, making him a cherished figure in his community.

Greg’s life was characterized by his readiness to work and his love for puzzles. He often remarked, “I Recon so,” reflecting his straightforward nature and resilience. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
