Obituary: Gregory Dale Thompson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory Dale Thompson, a beloved grandfather, friend, and member of the Dallas community. Gregory was born on July 17, 1960, and departed from this life on September 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Gregory was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his granddaughter, Janita Thompson, and his adored grandkids, Damien and Jewel Thompson. His love for them was boundless, and he took immense pride in watching them grow, always ready with a kind word, a lesson, or a story to share.

Known for his warm smile and generous spirit, Gregory touched the lives of many throughout his years in Dallas. His kindness and compassion were evident in all his interactions, and he will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.

A funeral service to celebrate Gregory's life will be held on September 14, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Prior to the service, a prayer service will take place on September 13, allowing family and friends to come together in remembrance and reflection.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of your choice in Gregory’s honor, as a way to celebrate the love and kindness he shared with the world.

Gregory Dale Thompson will forever be remembered for his loving spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. May he rest in peace.
