Gregg Alan Bishop, 61, of Pauline SC, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his children and mother, on Sunday, November 10, 2024 due to kidney failure.
Gregg was born January 6, 1963 to Boyce Bishop and Mary Joyce Jett Bishop. Gregg was the youngest of 4 children. He joins his brother Joel Bishop, sister Judy Kennedy, and father Boyce in heaven.
Gregg was always full of laughs, love, and wonderful hugs. He had a huge passion for music that started early on, playing bass and singing in multiple bands. His passion for entertaining led him to becoming a DJ and running karaoke as “Papa G” all around Spartanburg. Gregg had a unique way to connect with people through music and those memories will never be forgotten.
Gregg is survived by his mother Mary Joyce Bishop, his brother Chris ( Debbie ) Bishop, daughter Samantha Bishop ( Brent ), his three sons, Joshua Bishop, Mitcheal Grice, and Collin Bishop ( Alyssa ), his 8 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Come celebrate the life of Gregg on February 2, 2025 from 5pm until 8pm at Wild Ace Pizza 148 W. Main St. Spartanburg, SC 29306.
