Greg Ian Elliot, affectionately known as "BIG GUY," was born on February 1, 1988, in Parkhill, Ontario, Canada. He served as the General Manager for MAAAX Ontario Equine in Durham and was a dedicated Volunteer Firefighter with the West Grey Fire Service at the Durham Station.
Greg was proud of his long-standing commitment to the Fire Service, which he joined at a young age. His big-hearted nature meant he was always ready to lend a helping hand, day or night, and he was only ever a phone call or text away for those in need. He lived by the motto, "Taker Easy and if she's easy taker twice," reflecting his laid-back approach to life.
He is survived by his beloved son, Ian, and his mother, Corry Elliot. He was predeceased by his father, the late George Elliot, who passed away in 1998, and is also survived by his stepfather, Bob Payne. Greg leaves behind a close-knit family comprising his brother Bill Elliot (Lori), sister Melissa Elliot (Eddie), and numerous nephews and nieces: Howard, Mason, Thomas, Ethan, Bentley, Jackson, Myra, Myrtle, Laila, Alia, McKenna, Rylee, and Hayley.
Greg's contributions to his community and his unwavering support for those around him will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
We'll plant real trees for you in Greg's memory and display your contribution forever.
